For a driver license history check, identify the state that issued or maintains the driver record and use that state’s official driver-record service. USAGov’s motor-vehicle page can help you navigate to the correct state service, but the state agency itself is the authority for record types, eligibility, fees and contents.

A “driver record” can have multiple official versions in one state.
State agencies often offer more than one driver-record product, such as different history periods or certified and uncertified versions. The exact menu is a state-specific fact, so it should come from the issuing state rather than a national directory.
If a third party asks you for a driving record, check what document they require before paying for a product. The record with the most fields is not automatically the record the recipient will accept.
